Solution Focused Brief Hypno-Therapy (SFBH)

Quite a mouthful, isn't it? This page explains what the terms mean and how they combine to produce a therapy that moves you forward in your life. It also gives you the tools to maintain your goals through life's inevitable ups and downs.
 

SFBH consists of talking therapy with about a third of the therapy spent using trance which is a natural and relaxing process. It helps you learn how to solve issues in your life in a positive and lasting way. This helps you physically as well as mentally.

What is SFBH?

Brief:
Provides a short-term approach to achieve your own goals in weeks rather than months or years.  SFBT uses positive psychological principles and practices, similar to CBT, to help you on your path.

Hypno-therapy:
Uses trance, a safe, relaxing and powerful psychotherapeutic tool which can break the negative cycle of depression and anxiety.


You always remain in control. Trance is, in fact, something that you will recognise. It is similar to sleep but it is a focused state which you will have already experienced in any activity where you concentrate on something so that you ignore everything around you.

Solution Focused: 

This is a way of working that looks at your present circumstances without having to delve into past experiences, unless, of course, you really want to. The trouble with looking back is that thinking about unhappy experiences will only make you feel unhappy again.
Our goal is to look to the future. I can guide you but it's your own inner resources that will help you reach the solutions that are just right for you.

Contact and Charges

I generally charge £55 per session. Normally, I find 4 or 5 sessions, sometimes even fewer, adequate for most people to feel much better.

You can book a series of 4 sessions for £180, saving £40 on individual bookings.​
